19 year-old murders a mother of two over bathroom slippers.

It started as a little argument between the landlord's daughter and his tenant's kid sister.  But in minutes it had turned to an overblown vicious fight between the two ladies. All the occupants of the house rushed in to separate the two ladies and after a while it seemed all was well. It was all forgotten they thought and everyone went back to their respective duties. Only for a fresh commotion to erupt again.

The ladies had started fighting again and by the time this round of fight ended, one of the ladies laid dead on the ground. The landlord's daughter Rhoda was dead. The tenant's Kid sister had stabbed her to death, right on her chest. The remains of  Rhoda has been deposited in an Isolo morgue.

According to information gathered, the late Rhoda aged 23 was a hairdresser and mother of two who was living in her fathers house with her children. Her father the landlord was a pastor in CAC.

Happiness on the other hand is a 19 year old sales girl in Alaba International market. She told our sources that she never intended to kill Rhoda but it was the latter that wanted to stab her with the knife.

Recounting the incident, Happiness said she returned from work to find that her slippers was not in front of her door and on searching for it, found it on the leg of Rhoda's 4 year old daughter. She went ahead to caution the little girl about it and the mother who was by the well-side instead of reprimanding her daughter, started calling her unprintable names. Asking the little girl why she would wear the slippers of a worthless girl like Happiness. This resulted in a fight that saw the neighbor's, landlord and her brother coming to intervene in the fight.

This made Rhoda's father enraged and he started throwing his daughter's properties out of the house. He asked if Rhoda was the only woman in the compound that she had to quarrel with everybody and that he had had enough of her trouble. Happiness's brother also reprimanded her, telling her the quarrel that ensued between both women wasn't reason enough for them to fight.

Happiness thinking the fight was over headed for her room when Rhoda rushed at her and held her by the jugular. She fell down close to the kitchen and shouted so as to alert the neighbors of the attack. Rhoda somehow got hold of a knife and tried t stab her. In the process of the struggle, Happiness overpowered her and like she said, the knife slipped through her fingers Rhoda ended up dead.

Happiness is currently being interrogated at the Yaba SIB station.
